What did you do before joining us?
Before I started up with Triple O Property Maintenance I was an onsite forklift technician.
What prompted your interest in Triple O Property Maintenance?
Friends and family had told me for years that I was really handy around the house and that I should do it for a living. After 14 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change so I took their advice. After a bit of research I found Triple O Property Maintenance was a good fit for me.
What was the biggest influencing factor for you to buy a franchise business?
The biggest influencing factor that attracted me to the franchise was working close to home. Living in my area is a real plus because I'm close to family and meeting heaps of new people in my neighbourhood.
How did you find the initial training and ongoing support from the Triple O team?
The initial training was very useful in setting me up with the right tools to make my business successful. The ongoing support ensures that I'm keeping it successful.
What is business like for you? What kind of customers are you servicing?
Business for me has been busy since day one. I had jobs booked in before I even officially kicked off. I'm getting a massive mixture of customers. I get young and old, families and singles, industrial, commercial and residential. The variety of customers makes each day very interesting.
I was a production assistant and delivery driver for a window manufacturing company for last 2 years. Prior to that I was a product development coordinator for a large national electrical company (Clipsal Australia) for 14 years.
I had spent a lot of time looking at handyman franchises and Triple O seemed the best fit for me.
Training/backup and systems already in place to run your own business.
The training was good, I learnt a lot of practical things as well as the business and marketing side.
It’s busy! I have a wide range of customers, from business/commercial work including local factories, real estate agents and cinemas to residential properties that require a large variety of work including tiling, painting and plaster repairs.
I was a service technician in the metal trade industry.
It is a small and exciting team. You are offered a lot of support and we are all in it together. I'm not just another number.

How did you find the initial training, and ongoing support from the Triple O team?
The initial training at Triple O was good. It gave me more confidence in quoting and doing jobs I had never completed before. Ongoing support has been good.
I started off doing a lot of quotes and I'm winning jobs. I am getting a large variety of customers from the young to elderly.
